Chris de Burgh Fan Tribute CD 2007

After the success of the first six CD projects "To The Other Side", "All For One", "A Way Across The Universe", "One Planet One Love", "Living In The World" and "Simply Human" we are now in the process of preparing this year's edition of the "Chris de Burgh Fan Tribute CD 2007".

What is this project all about?

The CD set is an online project that allows singers, songwriters, musicians and artists worldwide to share their common love for one of the world's most extraordinary songwriters, Chris de Burgh.

Who can participate in the project?

The project is designed for all Chris de Burgh fans, who love to sing and play the songs of their favourite artist. It is a non-profit project, by Chris de Burgh fans for Chris de Burgh fans. Everyone can contribute a song, no matter whether they are professional musicians or non-professional hobby musicians.

What is new this year?

This year, we are adding something completely new to our project: songs written and inspired by Chris de Burgh's work. So this project consists of three separate competitions:

Cover Song Contest Inspired Song Contest Graphic Artwork Contest

Submit a self-recorded cover version of a Chris de Burgh song of your choice.

Submit a self-written and self-recorded song that was inspired by Chris de Burgh.

Competition closed - winner has just been announced!

The final CD (to be released in December 2007) will be a DOUBLE CD - CD 1 being the "traditional Cover tribute CD", and CD 2 being the "Songs inspired by Chris de Burgh CD".

How much will the final CD cost?

As a non-profit project, the CD will be distributed by fans from all around the world. (Want to help with the distribution? Sign up here.) Except for the costs of mailing and materials, we do not charge anything for the final CD set.
