My name is EMESE-KINGA HORVÁTH. I live in Cluj-Napoca (Romania); I am of Hungarian nationality. I am 31 years old. I am one of Chris de Burgh’s biggest fans. I was really happy to learn about this year’s new contest, the Inspired Song Contest. I find it a brilliant idea. Although I am only a hobby-musician (composer/singer), I will try my hand at this contest. I would like to participate with a song of my own, inspired by Chris’s beautiful and unique music: “Fire In The Heart”, inspired by: “Carry Me (Like A Fire In Your Heart)”. By this songs I would like to express all my love and my deepest gratitude towards the world’s most loving and love-worthy man, most inspired and talented artist, Mr. Chris de Burgh. For the song ‘Fire In The Heart’, I chose as inspiration Chris de Burgh’s ‘Carry Me (Like A Fire In Your Heart)’. This song has always been one of my favorites, as it confers a feeling of safety and love. - As long as we keep something or someone close to us, in our hearts, we feel safe and protected from this world’s cold indifference – this message always touched me, reaching the core of my being. Just like Chris, I would also like this world to be a better place, to shelter more humanity and love than it does. But, as long as there are men like Chris to remind us of the remained values, I believe, we’ve still got a chance to be better, to make this world a better place, to make life worth living for. In this song, I will try to express this wonderful man and great artist’s strong influence upon us, fans, listeners of his wonderful music and positive message.
